Nobody wants to say "I got dark spots on my butt" out loud so let me go first. I had dark spots on my butt. For YEARS. And did nothing about it because I didn't know that was something you could fix.
My options, as I understood them: ignore it, or wear the one-piece. That was the whole list.
Turns out hyperpigmentation back there is extremely normal and it comes from stuff we ALL do. Sitting all day. Friction from jeans that actually fit. Shaving. Ingrowns healing darker than the skin around them. Staying in your leggings two hours after the gym because you got busy.
Everybody has them. Nobody posts about them.
Two products, two different jobs
The Booty Wash is where you start. This is your odor and upkeep product — and let's be grown about it, booty sweat is real and we've all just been hoping nobody noticed. It handles it. Lathers up pink, smells like candy, and I use it every single day.
The Booty Oil is the one working on the dark spots, the bumps and the ingrowns. Goes on after, on damp skin, and you have to actually rub it IN. This is not a pat-and-go situation. Give it thirty real seconds.
How fast
Smooth came first and came quick — a couple of days in my skin was noticeably softer, and by the end of week one that rough bumpy texture I'd stopped even noticing was just gone.
The brightening came right behind it. The newer marks started lifting within a few weeks and the older ones kept fading from there. Every time I looked there was less to look at.
Bumps and ingrowns calmed down too, which I wasn't even shopping for.
Stuff that helped more than I expected
- Change out of gym clothes immediately. Not after the groceries. Immediately.
- Stop shaving back there dry. That's where half my ingrowns came from.
- Exfoliate gently, twice a week. Scrubbing harder makes pigment WORSE, not better.
- Cotton underwear that fits. Friction from too-tight everything is doing more than you think.
Why this counts as self care
I know "booty care" sounds like a joke product until you're the one avoiding certain lighting for four years.
First time I got out the shower and didn't do the thing where I angle myself away from the mirror? Worth every dollar. Not because anybody else was looking. Because I stopped bracing every time I walked past my own reflection.
That's the whole point. Confidence isn't just for the parts other people see.
